MUSIC MINISTRY

Read John 11:41.  Jesus is thanking God – and Lazarus is still in the grave.  There has not been a miracle yet!

Shouldn’t thanksgiving have come after Lazarus was brought back to life? Jesus teaches a great principle:  give thanks for what is about to happen – before it happens.  Sing the song of victory before the battle is fought.

What Jesus did makes reasonable sense.  The concept is:  Praise paves the way for the working of miracles – and since miracles are a result of spiritual power – spiritual power is a result of our faith.  Praise can change things!

God is pleased with our praise.  Try thanksgiving.  Sing a grateful song for the answer that has not yet come.  By this, you will find that “it is good to give thanks to the Lord.”
