Jeff Sifford, Minister of Music, came to First Baptist Church January, 2003. Jeff is married to Carolyn who is employed as Quality Supervisor for Darlington County Disabilities and Special Needs Board. She also serves as church pianist, sings in the Ladies Ensemble and helps to lead the Music Makers. Jeff is a graduate of Piedmont Baptist College and Seminary in Winston Salem, NC where he was awarded the 1990 Minister of Music Alumi Achievement Award. Prior to answering the call to Darlington First Baptist, he served for fifteen years as Minister of Music at Emmanuel Baptist Church and seven years at Fourth Street Baptist Church, both in Hartsville, SC. Jeff is a former member of the Palmetto MasterSingers, a professional male chorus at the University of South Carolina. He has sung numerous tenor solos with the Hartsville Civic Chorale and was also a “back-up” singer for Steve Green in Hartsville. Jeff is an untra-talented musician and genuinely loves other people.
